He’s a first ballot hall of fame player, gold medal Olympian, and 4x NBA Champ. Now he’s a San Antonio Spurs’ legend. After several months of consultation, Manu Ginobili says farewell to the hardwood.
We told ourselves that Manu walking off the court after game 5 against the warriors in April wouldn’t be it.
He still had so much to give, right! – after great production from his spot last year, but 23 years of professional basketball – 16 of them with the spurs – is more than enough.
The 41-year-old Ginobili won an NBA title as a rookie in 2003, then again in 05, then again in 07, then again 2014, also taking home the 6th man of the year in 2008 and made two all-star games.
