MLB Analysis: Red Sox Excel, Orioles Flounder
Reporter Brooke Shoemaker breaks down who is “Hot Or Not” in the MLB.
HOT: Boston Red Sox
The All-Star game marks the half way point of the baseball season. As it stands, the Boston Red Sox are the team to beat. Boston entered the All-Star break with the best record in baseball and the franchise’s highest mark since 1949. The AL East leaders are at 68-30, winning 12 of their previous 13 games.
NOT: BALTIMORE ORIOLES
On the opposite side of the spectrum, Baltimore is sluggish at 28-69, posting the worst record in the sport. Throughout July, the Orioles have only won five games; they currently sit 16 games behind the last place team in the AL East.
