Two UTSA Roadrunners On Preseason All-Conference USA Squad
Conference USA named two UTSA Roadrunners to their preseason All-Conference USA team. S2N reporter broke down the “Good, Better, Best” of the Roadrunners prior to their 2018 season:
Running back Jalen Rhodes has proven to be a force to be reckoned with over the last three years. In his career with UTSA, the senior has totaled 1700 yards and 17 touchdowns. Although he didn’t make the C-USA preseason list, he did make Third Team All-Conference USA for Athlon Sports.
Defensive lineman Kevin Strong Jr. started all 11 games for UTSA last year, boasting a defense that led the conference in seven different statistical categories. Strong Jr. was named to this year’s preseason All-Conference USA team, tallying 27 tackles, seven for loss, three sacks, and four quarterback hurries in 2017.
Linebacker Josiah Tauaefa collected preseason All-Conference accolades for the second straight year, registering 29 tackles, two for loss, and a fumble return for a touchdown during his sophomore campaign.
