PATTY MILLS LAUNCHES LOCAL INITIATIVE AMID PANDEMIC
In the spirit of Mother’s Day, this Sunday (5/10) San Antonio Spurs Guard Patty Mills will be encouraging the San Antonio community to shop small – and order coffee, food and merchandise from 8 participating, local coffee shops for curbside pick-up only.
Mills will then write a check to Family Violence Prevention Services, his preferred charity – for a double of the sales of all 8 coffee shops on that day. So if all 8 shops earn a total of $10K that day, coffee places keep their profits and Patty will write a check for $20K to the San Antonio FVPS, and so on.

With the stay-at-home restrictions lifted in Texas and the encouragement of this campaign, Patty strongly supports social distancing, wearing masks and gloves, contact-free ordering and pickup and the safe service of food and beverage. These venues will ensure that they are practicing safe service of food and beverages during their contact-free pick-up’s.
In addition, social media users can use the hashtag #GiveMamaCoffee for the chance to be on a Coffee Gang Zoom call with Patty.
Our Hector Ledesma asked Patty how much his place as the longest-tenured Spur has to do with organizing this initiative. His answer is above.
