AN UNLIKELY U.S. OPEN CHAMPION
On a day in which no other golfer shot under par, Bryson DeChambeau came up with a 3-under 67 to win his first Major. Two shots behind Matthew Wolff to start the Final Round of the 2020 US Open, the now seven-time PGA Tour winner caught him in four holes before taking the lead on the fifth and then pulling away.
But a six-shot victory to capture his first Grand Slam event win (no other golfer finished the tournament below par) isn’t the only reason DeChambeau surprised with his performance.
The 27-year-0ld reflects on a tough journey here.
