COWBOYS NIGHT: “I THOUGHT TONIGHT’S WORK WAS EXCELLENT”
The Cowboys held their annual Blue/White Scrimmage and presented it as part of “Cowboys Night”.
Players did not have numbers on their jerseys – a decision new coach Mike McCarthy said came because the scrimmage would be televised and he didn’t want to expose his younger players to an evaluation process to which other teams weren’t exposing their younger players.
During the scrimmage, safety Xavier Woods left the field with a reported groin injury while Ventell Bryant needed help getting off the field with an apparent left leg injury. Afterward, McCarthy indicated exams for both players seemed to be “not of high concern.”
Here are McCarthy’s overall thoughts on the closest the 2020 Cowboys have been to a live game situation.
