Jeff Traylor Next UTSA Head Football Coach
Sources tell Sports2Nite that Jeff Taylor is the Roadrunners new head coach. Most recently the Associate Head Coach at Arkansas, Traylor served as an assistant at UT in 2015 and 2016, where he coached the tight ends before coaching the tight ends and wide receivers the next season. Before heading to Austin, Traylor coached the East Texas High School of Gilmer from 2000-2014 where he led the Buckeyes to three state championships and posted a record of 175-26.
Traylor becomes the third head football coach in UTSA’s young football history. The program’s inaugural season came in 2011 under Larry Coker. Frank Wilson took over in 2016 before he was relieved last week following a 4-8 season.
