QUARTERBACK GOAT? NO DOUBT. FOOTBALL GOAT? NO ARGUMENT HERE. GOAT OF GOATS? NO.
There was a time not that long ago that the names Johnny Unitas, Otto Graham, Dan Marino and Peyton Manning were thrown into the mix with Joe Montana in determining the best quarterback in NFL history. All those legends now vie for second place.
And seven Super Bowl wins and 10 Super Bowl appearances have a way of transcending Jerry Rice’s run after the catch or Lawrence Taylor’s pass rush or even Jim Brown’s timelessness.
It’s impossible to argue that Tom Brady’s not the best quarterback of all time and it’s become very difficult to debate that he’s not atop a list of all football players.
But is he the greatest athlete of all-time? Is he the G.O.A.T of G.O.A.T’s?
No, says Hector Ledesma.
