RANGERS TRADE COUPLE OF VETERANS
The Rangers made a couple of big moves at the Major League Baseball trade deadline. Catcher Robinson Chirinos, who played for Texas from 2013 to 2018 before returning after spending last year in Houston is headed to the Mets. Todd Frazier is also headed to New York. In his case, the 34-year-old Frazier is headed back to the “Big Apple,” where he spent the last two seasons before signing with the Rangers this off-season. In exchange for Chirinos and cash considerations, Texas receives a player to be named later. Texas will also get a player to be named later in the Frazier deal.
Hector Ledesma takes us through General Manger Jon Daniels’ thoughts on the trades as well as potential moves that weren’t made.
