Ready to Repeat: Pitcher Perfect, Ken Giles
One Astro we haven’t seen much of is Ken Giles. After some talk during the spring that Houston might go with a Closer-by-committee, it appears Giles will be the guy once again. He finished out the season opener in a non-save situation and pitched an inning on Sunday as well. That’s been it: two innings of work, two strike outs, 2 hits, and an earned run. Our Sports2Nite baseball correspondent, Richard Oliver, recently went one-on-one and covered a wide range of topics with the man the ‘Stros hope can continue to shut the door.
