REPORTS: BRANTLEY TO RE-SIGN WITH ASTROS; INITIAL REPORTS HAD HIM HEADING TO TORONTO

A day after losing George Springer to the Blue Jays, Houston appeared to lose fellow All-Star Michael Brantley to Toronto as well. Reports this morning (Wednesday) indicated as much. But late this afternoon other reports surfaced that Brantley is rejoining the Astros.
A free agent signee with Houston in 2019, the 33-year-old outfielder has made the only MLB All-Star Game that’s taken place since then (2019) – the fourth of his career – and has helped the franchise to the seventh game of a World Series and the seventh game of an ALCS respectively.
This contract is reportedly for two years, 32 million dollars. Those are the same terms as the deal he signed two years ago.
