Spurs Defeat Timberwolves 125-122 in OT
It took overtime to get it, but the San Antonio Spurs earned their third straight win Saturday defeating the Minnesota Timberwolves in overtime, 125-122.
Spurs small forward DeMar DeRozan finished with a game-high 38 points and came up clutch for the Silver and Black in the final minutes of regulation, knocking down two crucial free throws to help send the game into overtime.
Afterward, head coach Gregg Popovich spoke about his team’s ability to close out tough games.
“That’s the stick-to-it-ive-ness, the fiber that you need to have,” Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said.
The Spurs face the Timberwolves again Sunday night in the second game of the back-to-back in Minnesota.
