Spurs Blown Out By Jazz, Played “Little Bit Too Soft”
The San Antonio Spurs dropped their fourth straight game Sunday, getting blown out by the Utah Jazz 130-109.
The Jazz were lights out from behind the arc, hitting 21 of 40 threes. Jazz’s Bojan Bogdanovic’s finished with a team-high 28 points as he connected on 6-of-7 three-point attempts.
Spurs guard Keldon Johnson led the team with 22 points while veteran guard DeMar DeRozan helped added 19 points to go along with four assists and five rebounds.
Head coach Gregg Popovich noted the lack of consistent physicality from his team, saying they were “little bit too soft.”
After Spurs guard Derrick White made his season debut against the Lakers Friday night, White missed the game against the Jazz because of a sore toe. Spurs center LaMarcus Aldridge did not play for the third straight game with knee soreness.
The Spurs will next face the Clippers Tuesday night in the first of their five-game road trip.
