UIW Football Postpones Home Opener Against SHSU
The University of the Incarnate Word football team has postponed its home opener on Saturday, Feb. 20 against Sam Houston State University due to inclement weather in the region.
The game has been rescheduled for April 17 with a kickoff time to be announced at a later date.
The Cardinals finished the 2019 season 5-7 with two wins over top-25 ranked opponents.
Sam Houston was picked to finish second in the 2020 Southland Conference Preseason Poll, receiving six first-place votes. SHSU went 7-5 overall, 6-3 in league play during the 2019 season.
